October 26, Sunday, 3 pm: Halloween Happening and Parade. Rain or shine. Meet at the West Falmouth Market before 3 pm in your Halloween costume to parade to the Library where we will have games, stories, and fun. Please bring a non-perishable item for the Falmouth Service Center.
October 15th, Wednesday, 7 pm, Habitats & Wildlife of Cape Cod Audubon Sanctuaries Join us for this presentation by Ian Ives of the Audubon Society for an overview of some of the Capes most critical habitats. This event is free and open to the public.
Story Boat Story time:Fridays 10:30-11:15 am for children ages 3-6 starting Sept. 19th. There are 20 spaces available every Friday for children accompanied by a parent or guardian who are free to visit the rest of the library while the program is in session. This program is free.
Circulation at the library has gone electronic via the CLAMS system. Click here for Catalogue link. PLEASE CLICK ON THE GREEN HEADLINE FOR LINK TO THE CLAMS LIBRARY CATALOGUE. CLAMS library cards issued from any CLAMS library are now needed to check out materials from our library. West Falmouth Library cards can be issued.
October 19th, Sunday, 3-5 pm. Calliope Poetry Readings. Poetry readings sponsored by Calliope will resume at the library with featured poets and an open mike. $5.00 donations are suggested.
Wednesdays: enjoy Bridge and Mahjong at the West Falmouth Library Beginning September 17th, every Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. the library welcomes bridge players of all levels and then from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. mahjong players will meet in our Community Room.
Seaside Knitters with Rena Chapell returns Thursdays from 3:30 - 5 pm. Every Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. knitters of every level are welcome to come and share their expertise and/or learn the basics of knitting. Hosted by Rena Chappell. Children are encouraged to attend. This is a drop-in activity. Free.
Mother Goose on the Loose Program for Babies and Caregivers Restarts Sept.16th and 19th Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:30 to 11:00 am, also a 2nd session on Tuesdays from 11:30am to 12:00pm. This free pre-emergent literacy program is a drop-in activity for babies to age 3 and their caregivers.
