Many composers and lyricists including Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein, Lorenz Hart, Jerome Kern, John Kander, and Fred Ebb, to name a few, have been inspired by classical, contemporary, and children’s literature, resulting in some of their most successful shows. Examples likely to be performed are “C’est Moi” from Camelot, “Many a New Day” from Oklahoma, “Can’t Help Lovin’ That Man,” from Showboat and “I Could Write a Book,” from Pal Joey.

Vocalist Stephanie Miele lives in Falmouth and currently works as a piano technician tuning pianos. She graduated from the High School of Performing Arts in New York City, and obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Boston University and Bridgewater State University, respectively.

She was a music teacher in the Brockton school system and a librarian at the Burkland School in Middleborough. She performed a sold-out and extended program of the music of Rodgers, Hart, and Hammerstein in the Black Box at the Cotuit Center for the Arts and did a tribute to Mary Martin and Ethel Merman on the main stage, also at Cotuit Center for the Arts. Her most recent Black Box performance at Cotuit Center for the Arts was Stephen Sondheim, Stephen Schwartz: Two Broadway Giants. You might have seen her streaming in Twain by the Tale and Teacher of the Year with the Eventide Theatre Company during the pandemic and most recently in the 25th anniversary edition of the Eventide Cabaret.
