Winter/Spring 2025 Selections:

February 11th: The Spy Who Came in From the Cold by John le Carré – “The best spy story I have ever read.”—Graham Greene; “First-rate and tremendously exciting.”—Daphne du Maurier

March 11th: The Women by Kristin Hannah – “A moving, gripping tale that pays tribute to the under-appreciated skill and courage of combat nurses.” —Booklist, starred review

April 8th: The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon– “The stirring story of one woman’s quest for justice. . . Lawhon combines modern prose with the immediacy of her source material, making for an accessible and textured narrative. This accomplished historical powerfully speaks to centuries-old inequities that remain in the present day.” Publishers Weekly

May 13th: The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store by James McBride – “I keep thinking every time I read one of his books, ‘That’s his best book.’ No. THIS is his best book.” —Ann Patchett
